Come out and help the 2nd Mile Army Youth Ministry feed the Hungry in DC!!!

Please join the 2nd Mile Army (2MA) Youth Ministry form Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene on Saturday May 28, 2016! We welcome you all to come out and support this great initiative, as we provide a nutritious meal, words of encouragement, and a smile to the homeless population of Washington, D.C.
The 2MA Youth Group is also raising funds for the "30 Hour Famine" an initiative by World Vision that challenges youth ministries to fast and raise money to benefit hungry children worldwide. We will be fasting on the day of this event, so please keep that in mind as you come to collaborate with us for this event. We are not asking you to fast with us, but to be respectful of our efforts and not bring in any outside food (except what we'll be using for the lunchbags).
We will meet at Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene , which is located at 905 Alabama Avenue SE, Washington, DC (2 blocks from Congress Heights Metro). Promptly, at 8 am we will begin assembling the lunches, followed by distributing them to the hungry and homeless at locations around the city.
We are seeking volunteers to:
- Provide supplies/ingredients to make the lunches (sandwich meats & cheese, fruit, bottled water, napkins, index cards for notes, etc)
- Assist in transporting and distributing lunches around D.C.
We are kindly asking for a $2 donation to go toward the cost of food. You may make this donation the day of the event in cash.
