CATER TO KINDNESS

For Unity Week 2023, WMATA's SSRP Department is sponsoring an event to provide 400 or more lunch bag meals to those in need within the DMV area. This is a light-hearted approach to giving with integrating kindness and inspiration.

Included in each lunch bag will be a handwritten note acknowledging the humanity of the recipient of each meal, while empowering our volunteers to see how quickly they can positively impact their immediate surroundings. 

Here's How You Can Help

Option 1:

Volunteer to help pack and/or distribute lunches on January 18th. Arrive at CTF’s HRTM Conference Room (Bldg. B, First Floor). Lunch preparation will begin at 9am. We will load the lunches and head out to designated Metro sites at 11am. A monetary donation of $15 is also requested to assist with purchasing items.

Option 2:

Can’t volunteer but still want to help? We welcome you to leave a donation to help buy lunches for this cause!

All monetary contributions (for both Options 1 and 2) are needed by January 11th. More information on fund submissions will be sent out soon.

If you cannot join us at our site, please feel free to collaborate with us by serving the homeless community near your location on the same date.  Use the information provided in the Toolkit link to help you prepare.
