Limerick face Clare this afternoon in R2 of the National Hurling League.

Limerick began their league campaign with a disappointing last gasp defeat to Cork as super-sub Shane Kingston scored at the death to win for The Rebels.

Limerick performed excellently all afternoon but succumbed to a sustained spell of late Cork pressure. It's still early days in the league and so Cork have plenty of time to get points on the board.

Clare demolished Westmeath by a scoreline of 4-27 to 0-14 last Sunday to put themselves top of the tree in Division 1 Group A. The last time the sides met was last June when Limerick won a fourth Munster title on the spin.
