Anaika started coming to #HashtagLunchbag events four years ago. We'd say that qualifies as an OG! We asked Anaika a few rapid-fire "OG" questions to learn more about her experience working with the Brooklyn Chapter.
When did you start coming to #HashtagLunchbag events and what was your first event like?
I started coming to #HashtagLunchbag events in May four years ago for my 30th birthday. I fell in love with the vibe. My favorite station was the love notes station - I love inspirational words.
How did you hear about #HashtagLunchbag?
I heard about #HashtagLunchbag via Instagram. I did a random hashtag search and stumbled upon a re-post.
We love #DoGoodFriday stories that showcase everyday common love and acts of kindness - What's something you've witnessed lately?
I read about Jennifer Maddox and the FutureTies.org non-profit organization. She’s a mom and a police officer who started Future Ties to help out the kids at one of Chicago’s housing projects. They provide after-school and summer activities, homework help, and most importantly a safe haven for the kids.
What's your favorite inspirational quote?
“Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.”
