Merge, the youth group of the CCC (Clarence Church of Christ), will be hosting a #hashtaglunchbagbuffalo event on Saturday, June 11, 2016.  Packing will take place at the CCC building (5375 Old Goodrich Rd. Clarence, NY 14031) at 9am.  We plan to serve bolgn & cheese sandwiches, carrots, orange, banana, cookies, a bottle of water & encouraging note in each brown bag lunch.  Distribution will take place at Lafayette Square at 12pm.  We will fan out and cover the downtown area of Buffalo with Lafayette Square as our home  base.  We hope to serve 500-600 lunches and may add in a second location to distribute on the East side of Buffalo (we are contacting agencies that serve the homeless and hungry both to advertise and to see where they think a good secondary location could be).  Our goal is to encourage those who are homeless and hungry while also providing them with a meal.  We plan to also hand out socks and a package of bagels to whom ever needs it.  This is a community event.  We will not be representing/advertising ourselves as a church.  We believe that it is our job to give, serve, and love others, simply because every person is important.  We are inviting anyone in the Western New York area to join us.  Please Contact the Coordinator, Candi Giles at (716) 912-1472 with questions!
