Education Through Poverty: Help Us Help the Homeless in CD10!

Natural Ivy Foundation Inc. will host our Education through Poverty.This event was created to bring awareness to the growing homeless issue in LA council District 10 (CD-10). By identifying the homeless, educating the community, and providing solutions, we are able to work toward our mission to help end poverty and improve the lives of individuals; by providing education, social awareness, community supports and promoting healthy living to disadvantaged youth and homeless families we desire to provide support to at least 300 homeless individuals in our area. Following the distribution we will host a film screening and discussion of the documentary "Nas:Time is Illmatic" starring award winning artist and entrepreneur Nasir "NAS" Jones. The film will be featured at Natural Ivy Foundation Shelter located at 1565 S Hobart Blvd LA CA 90006     Assembly Location: Wellington Square Farmers Market  4394 W. Washington Blvd. Los Angeles, C.A. 90016 Directions: The market is located three blocks west of Crenshaw blvd at Virginia Rd and Washington Blvd. FROM THE 10 FWY:

following 10 East take exit 8 onto S. La brea Follow S. labrea to Washington Blvd turn right onto W. Washington Blvd follow W. Washington Blvd to  4394 W. Washington Blvd. Los Angeles, C.A. 90016 From 10 west  Following 10 west take Exit 9 at Crenshaw blvd make a right onto Crenshaw blvd follow Crenshaw blvd North to W. Washington blvd Make a left onto W. Washington Blvd Follow W. Washington to destination on the left side 4394 W. Washington Blvd. Los Angeles, C.A. 90016 We will assemble lunches at the Farmers market and then carpool east on W. Washington Blvd Stopping at 5 locations between crenshaw and Normandie. We will end at Natural Ivy Foundation Shelter Home. (At 1564 S. Hobart Blvd. two blocks east of western blvd)Where we will view Nas:Time is Illmatic film. Discussion will follow.
