Hashtag Lunchbag at Peaches Records in Uptown

This Saturday we are packing lunches for folks in need at the historic Woolworth Counter in Peaches Records from 12pm-2pm. We've been packing lunches for the hungry on a regular basis and we’ve packed almost 1,000 meals for the community over the past month! We’ve also collected tons of canned goods and bulk food items which we've donated directly to a local mission. Most recently we've distributed the lunch bags to St. Jude's Community Center in New Orleans. St. Jude's kitchen suffered major flooding during the last storm (two weeks ago) and they aren't able to feed the large homeless/in need population that relies on them.

This event is free and open to the public. Bring your family and friends! We are also  accepting food donations for this and future events including non-perishable snack items (crackers, chips, etc), lunch meat, sliced cheese, plastic zip-lock sandwich bags, single serving fruit, plastic non-latex gloves and packets of individual condiments (mayo, mustard, and jelly).
